STEWARDS REPORT: NEWQUAY and SHOVOFF were slow to begin. On jumping TRUE JEWELS was tightened for room between RED HANNIGAN and ROYAL COURTSHIP both of which shifted ground. FAIZA and VISCOUNT came together at the start. SPECTATORIAL shifted in at the 1000m and HA HA was taken in across the running of ROYAL COURTSHIP which had to be checked. Making the 1000m turn NEWQUAY ran out and ROYAL COURTSHIP was further hampered. At the 700m TRUE JEWELS shifted out and contacted NEWQUAY which became unbalanced and ROYAL COURTSHIP was again hampered. Shortly after straightening SPECTATORIAL shifted out and bumped HA HA. FAIR EMBRACE, which had been held up for a run, improved between horses passing the 200m and RED HANNIGAN, which had been bumped and taken out in the early part of the straight by EXCELLERATOR, then shifted out and FAIR EMBRACE was taken out onto SPECTATORIAL, which was turned in slightly across the running of FAIR EMBRACE which was then checked when disappointed for a run. At this stage FAIZA was checked and TRUE JEWELS was briefly held up. HA HA then shifted in and contributed to the tightening to SPECTATORIAL. Passing the 200m REGAL KISS, which was held up for a run, contacted MISTEGIC. As REGAL KISS then took a narrow run DONNA NATALIA and SHOVOFF came together. Near the 100m NEWQUAY was buffeted for room between ROYAL COURTSHIP, which was inclined to lay in under pressure, and TRUE JEWELS, which was inclined to hang out.
